Who are we?
- Aurecon has acted as owner’s engineer on the 140 megawatt project, providing a wide range of technical advisory services to help progress the project through feasibility and financing phases. Our scope of work has centered on wind resource assessment, layout design and energy yield prediction and has included preliminary design of other infrastructure, such as roads and electrical works, and support during negotiations to construct the wind farm. Our team also assisted African Clean Energy Developments (ACED) in engaging with South African electricity public utility, Eskom, to progress grid connection arrangements for the project, providing technical details to complete site approvals, supporting the debt and equity financing process and preparing material for bid submission to the Department of Energy.
