Background

A Better Africa is helping create the African education ecosystem. The vision is that multiple smaller ecosystems are created on the platform and collaboration is catalysed.

A Better Africa, in partnership with Partners for Possibility is offering every PfP school, both past and present, a profile on the platform and unlimited collaboration groups associated with the school profile. These groups could be public or private and could support teacher learning materials, the SGB, the PTA, competitions and more.

How it works

A school can claim and use a public profile as a website. The school can at any time create a URL with the school's name, e.g. www.schoolname.ac.za and redirect that URL to the profile on A Better Africa. The profile for a school is rich in its functionality and schools are able to share news, upload photos and video, create a document library and invite members.

Those schools that don't need a website, may decide to utilise the profile to connect all their collaboration groups.

What support is there for users?

There are 9 tutorials created specifically for schools in the support group.

How to claim the school today

The principal or nominated representative searches for the school under the Schools tab right on top of the page. Once the school is found, he or she 'Follows' the school and the community management team makes the individual the owner of the profile. Where the school is not found, there is a tutorial on adding a school in the support group.
