Who are we?
- Phakamani Young Minds Academy is currently based in Freedom Park and aims to address all educational challenges affecting students in disadvantaged communities. We focus on after school tutoring programme for all grade 1 to 12 learners that enhance giving extra lessons in literacy and numeracy, homework supervision, exam preparations and learning in a safe environment by reinforcing work done by educators in classrooms. And we further support learners who are not supported at home with their academic school work. PYMA makes sure that all our beneficiaries submit completed homework at school like all other students. We also provide support to matriculants to access post-school opportunities (access to tertiary education, learnerships and employment).
