Who are we?
- Township Roots is a Western Cape based organisation currently focusing on the Cape Town townships of Nyanaga and Philippi where the poverty and unemployment rates are alarmingly high. Our mission is to reduce the number of school drop-outs, develop resilient community leaders and increase the chances of success among learners who attend low resourced schools within the disadvantaged communities of Philippi and Nyanga. We hope to achieve this mission by improving children’s literacy in primary school, providing a wide range of extra-curricular activities and supporting learners to tertiary education.
