Who are we?

The Game Rangers Association of Africa (GRAA) was founded in 1970 as a non-racial, non-political organisation. The Game Rangers Association of Africa is a properly constituted association and has been registered as a non-profit organisation and has been granted exemption from taxes on donations.

The protection, conservation and restoration of Africa's biodiversity and the continued existence of its wilderness for the benefit of present and future generations.

The African game ranger faces serious challenges. These are invariably related to a lack of training, funding, capacity and equipment. As a result, many rangers lose their lives every year in their dedicated attempts to protect our wildlife heritage.
